Seattle Seahawks News/Diskussions thread

    The Seahawks' Three Amigos

The bond that ties the Seattle Seahawks' top three receivers together is more than just a friendship. Jackson and teammates Koren Robinson and Bobby Engram have something even deeper than that -- a sort of sibling connection.
    .....
The close relationship of Seattle's three top wideouts took another step last October, when Jackson went into seizures following a vicious shoulder-to-helmet hit from Dallas Cowboys safety Darren Woodson. Jackson spent the night in a Dallas hospital, while Engram and Robinson opted to skip the team flight back to Seattle so they could be with him.

''They were worried about me, so they stayed back to make sure I was OK,'' Jackson said. ''I really appreciate that. It meant a lot. ... We're kind of like family. We treat each other like family.''

You have to stop the run first,” Hand told Seahawks.com. “That’s what we did in San Diego.” Hand knows, though, that he could feed off of John Randle’s ability to apply quarterback pressure from the inside. “That’s why I’m thrilled to be here. I don’t want to be just a run stopper. I want to rush the passer. I’m working with Randle and those other guys to get me some moves.”

    *Seeheim - proud to be a Steward - NFL-Talk Fantasy Football 2003 - 2011* :snif

  • Willkommen Roger.

    BTW, welcome Roger :daumenho:

Drunken driving dropped, judge ponders punishment

Stevens entered the plea in Kirkland Municipal Court. But Judge Albert Raines declined to accept a sentence recommended by prosecutors and defense attorney Jon Fox of two days in jail, a $1,000 fine and 100 hours of community service.

As part of his NFL contract, Stevens may have to forfeit $300,000 of a $2.8 million signing bonus after his guilty plea.

"We're going to sit down ... and we'll look at that,'' Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said. "There are reasons we put things in there, but we'll see. We have not made final decisions on any of those things.''

He also could be subject to suspension by the NFL.

:sauer

No criminal charges filed in case

Seattle Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens, recently charged with drunken driving, has been sued by a young woman who alleges he sexually assaulted her three years ago.

Stevens was arrested and jailed overnight for investigation of sexual assault in the 2000 case but no criminal charges were filed.

The young woman, now 22, contends Stevens raped her outside a fraternity party when they were both students at the University of Washington. In the King County Superior Court suit filed Wednesday, she contends Stevens forced himself on her after someone slipped a drug into her beer in June 2000, and that she awoke the next day with no memory of what happened.

The lawsuit alleges that physical evidence from the woman's hospital examination shows that she had sexual contact with Stevens.

Jaja. Da kommt Lindell in Fahrt und kickt ziemlich sicher und zuverlässig und dann lässt man ihn ziehen. Tststs.

    Eaton:
He just demands respect, and he deserves it. He's a top-10 coordinator, and we feel real comfortable with the guys we have and the system he's going to bring to the table, and I think we're going to be a real team this year.

Isaiah Kacyvenski übert den neuen Defense Coach:
I think it starts in the meetings, when Coach Rhodes is in the meetings and he gets you fired up every single day. Everyone is on the same page every single day: this is what we're going to do, and he keeps pounding and pounding it. We've had three minicamps already, and he keeps pounding it into our heads, and I think it's important that he gets everybody zeroed in at every practice.

A lot of guys form the scouting department gave me a tour of the Stadium and the facilities. They gave me a warm welcome and that’s all I wanted. I took a lot of x-rays today and that’s what prolonged me signing, but it’s definitely worth it.”
“I saw the potential. I had to do a lot of reading up on the team, but the talk around the league and the possibility of this team having a great season, I just couldn’t turn the situation down. Bringing in Coach Rhodes once again is a plus. That really helped me get here. I’m just trying to come in and play and have my best season ever and help this team win ballgames.”

To win the game is great. To play the game is greater. But to love the game is the greatest of all.

  • Schließe mich Eagle an.

    *Seeheim - proud to be a Steward - NFL-Talk Fantasy Football 2003 - 2011* :snif

    Seahawks | Hopeful With Evans
    Sat, 5 Jul 2003 13:45:44 -0700

Clare Farnsworth, of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, reports for the Sporting News that the Seattle Seahawks are monitoring the progress of DE Joey Evans, who had eight sacks while playing in NFL Europe, and the team is hopeful he can contribute in pass rushing situations.

Seahawks | Godfrey to Play Only Two Downs
    Fri, 4 Jul 2003 10:06:47 -0700

Clare Farnsworth, of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, reports for the Sporting News that Seattle Seahawks MLB Randall Godfrey will not be playing all three downs and will likely be on the field only as a run defender.

Seahawks | Bannister Likely Fourth Receiver
    Fri, 4 Jul 2003 09:42:57 -0700

Clare Farnsworth, of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, reports for the Sporting News that Seattle Seahawks WR Alex Bannister is expected to be the team's fourth wide receiver behind WR Koren Robinson, WR Darrell Jackson and WR Bobby Engram this season.

    GO ALEX! :)

Seahawks | George Coming Back? - from http://www.KFFL.com
    Thu, 3 Jul 2003 11:17:35 -0700

Mike Bruton, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports that QB Jeff George is rumored to be an option for the Seattle Seahawks if QB Trent Dilfer doesn't come back soon enough from the Achilles' tendon injury he suffered last season.

    SCOUT'S HONOR: NFC rookie report
    BY BRIAN DELUCIA
    Special to FOXSports.com

    Seattle Seahawks:
The two rookies who have opened up the most eyes and will see a lot of time in the secondary are cornerback Marcus Trufant and safety Ken Hamlin. Trufant should solidify the club's nickel packages with his size and instincts. And Hamlin will push Damien Robinson and Reggie Tongue at both safety spots with his aggressiveness and nose for the ball. They are finding ways to keep him on the field.

    Q&A with Chris Mortensen

    Colin (Seattle):
Hey Chris, how big of an impact do you see Ray Rhodes having on the fortunes of the Seahawks this year? Thanks.
    Chris Mortensen:
I think Ray Rhodes will have a positive impact. His primary job is to pull together a defense that has a lot of new faces, some young, some old. The Seahawks have had at least five significant additions on defense, Randall Godfrey being the latest.
If Rhodes can get them to play together, and Matt Hasselbeck plays the way he finished last season, the Seahawks are a team to watch.

    Seahawks report: Inside slant
In keeping with their pattern of aggressively rebuilding their defense this offseason, the Seahawks latched onto linebacker Randall Godfrey and simply would not let him go.
The Seahawks made sure he didn't leave town without a contract: A one-year, $1.8 million deal, and the inside track on starting middle linebacker job to go with it.
Godfrey seems the perfect fit for the Seahawks, who were chronically unable to contain rushes up the middle.
