    Auf Byrd dark man gespannt sein, ein upgrade wäre hier natürlich wünschenswert. Positiv: die Cowboys sind auf WR tief und gut besetzt,wer das Roster dort knapp verpasst ist bei uns im Normalfall sehr gut aufgehoben. Hawkins & Austin also (erstmal) die Starter nach dem man "The Ghost" aka "the the invisible pizza-man" Burleson entlassen hat.

    Grossman ebenfalls entlassen,imo 2 QB auf dem Roster (Hoyer,Manziel).

    Übrraschend für mich der cut von Gray, hier hatte man den Eindruck, das er gerade in dem neuen O-system seinen Platz findet. Letztendlich dürften ihm die Fumbles und die fast-Fumbles in der Preseason seinen Kopf gekostet haben. (wobei wir an dem Punkt angekommen sind, das eben nicht jedes Play/Spiel in der Vorbereitung "komplett egal",bzw. "sinnlos" ist.)
    Trotzdem: für mich hat der Bursche Potenzial.

    Abgerundet wird das ganze durch den völlig berechtigen McFadden-cut, hier zitiere ich mich mal selbst nach dem Lions-Game :

    Byrd's size is a welcome addition to a receiving corps that averages 5-foot-11, 191.4 pounds. Now, if he can play.

    He was clocked at 4.45 and that means his time is in the top 30% His time is above-average. which means that he has a better time compared to 71% of all WR's in the league.

    Negativ : HZ 1 , ein einziges Fiasko.

    Positiv: Coaching HZ 2 , hier hat man endlich reagiert. Stichwort: Coaching adjustment.
    Gefühlt war das völliges Neuland, bitte weiter so.

    QB: steinigt mich, aber ich bin fest davon überzeugt das wir mit Manziel mehr gerissen hätten. Die O wurde vom Laufspiel getragen, mal stelle sich hier noch den ein.- oder anderen QB-scramble vor in HZ 2.
    Mit Manziel ist man komplett unberechenbar , das soll kein Hoyer-bashing sein, das ist mMn ein Fakt.

    Mich kotzt der loss an, das ist überhaupt keine Frage, was hauptsächlich folgendem Umstand geschuldet ist :

    Da ich die Browns auch gerne verfolge, freue ich mich auch auf das Spiel..... (y)

    Das sagt Pettine zur Entscheidung "Punt anstatt Fg " :

    Strahlend blauer Himmel, kein Wind ,kein Regen, perfekte Bedingungen : man gesteht sich die erste, größere Schwäche im Roster ein- den Kicker.

    Ein 52yarder ist keine Selbstverständlichkeit ,keine Frage, aber das man schon alleine den Versuch kategorisch ausschließt lässt mich kopfschüttelnd zurück.
    Da ist Cundiff ja gerade für Cleveland der richtige Kicker , man muss sich nur mal vor Augen führen wie hier der Wind reinbläst :

    Und das in der AFC-North, wo wetterbedingt einige low-scorer dabei sind, die mehr oder weniger durch FG´s entschieden werden.

    Andere Option : Pettine hat in dieser Situation komplett versagt und eine katastrophale Entscheidung getroffen, die uns letztendlich das Spiel kostete.

    Den Fuß dafür hat Cundiff nämlich und das oben aufgeführte FG war für die Cowboys vs Lions . Gespielt wurde im alten Cowboys-Stadium.

    Umso mehr ich mich mit dieser Situation beschäftige, umso wütender macht sie mich.
    Hätte man den Kick versucht und es wäre schiefgegangen, who cares ?
    Niemanden hätte Pettine den Kopf abgerissen.....

    Ehrlich gesagt bin ich positiv von den Browns überrascht, da ich mit einer hohen Niederlage in Pittsburgh gerechnet habe. Die 2. Halbzeit sollte euch Hoffnung geben, auch wenn sich das jetzt ziemlich blöde anhört. ;) Evtl. werde ich mir eurer Spiel nächste Woche gegen die Saints mal geben.

    Nun ja, wenn ich an die letzte Season denke war das gerade unter Chud auf Seiten der Browns ein probates Mittel. Da wurden die 4.Versuche fast schon generell ausgespielt und man benötigte die Trickspielzüge wie Punt Fakes ect. um überhaupt im Spiel zu bleiben.....:jeck:

    Das die Steelers das zu diesem Zeitpunkt bringen war schon o.k. , niemand hat auch nur im Ansatz damit gerechnet und genau darauf kommt es bei den fakes´ja an.

    Der Spielzug hat ja auch perfekt zur Situation gepasst. Offensiv ging gar nix, bei den Browns lief alles und man brauchte einen "Spark". Ist ja nicht so als hätte man zu dem Zeitpunkt uneinholbar geführt und die Browns damit vorführen wollen.

    Noch dazu war unser Gunner so ungedeckt, dass man das fast schon machen musste ;)

    Ich hätte das damals auch noch vor der Ehe und Kinder machen sollen.

    Gegen BAL.
    BAL ist für mich klarer Favorit.
    Aber vielleicht leisten die sich auch Fehler und dann kann es wieder eng werden.
