Dallas Cowboys Offseason 2018

Monday afternoon, the Cowboys placed the franchise tag on DeMarcus Lawrence before Tuesday’s deadline to issue the one-year guaranteed tender.Hours later, Lawrence’s agent announced on Twitter that the Pro Bowl pass rusher has signed the tender, which is worth $17.143 million, according to NFL.com.

    Zitat

On Wednesday, the club created some extra cap space by releasing defensive end Benson Mayowa. In 2016, the Cowboys signed Mayowa to a three-year deal worth roughly $8 million. He led the defense with six sacks last year but posted only one last season with fewer defensive snaps in 14 games (2 starts). The move should open up nearly $3 million with free agency set to open March 14.

    Will Hernandez
    Isaiah Wynn

The Cowboys have used a second round tender on defensive tackle David Irving, David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Irving will get paid $2.91 million in 2018.

  • Warum Hmmmm?

Jean-Jacques Taylor of 103.3 ESPN Dallas also reported Wednesday that “A source said the Cowboys had some conversations w/Seattle about Earl Thomas, but Seahawks set HIGH price and Thomas wants deal that makes him among game’s highest-paid safeties, so talks never got serious.”

    (Quelle: ESPN)

Don't even know where to start being that the last 4 years of my life have been spent wearing the Star on my helmet. But imma start by saying thank you to all the great fans of
Dallas who supported me and my teammates through and through it was never taken for granted. I want to thank all of my teammates for the relationships built throughout my journey in Dallas through the ups and downs that locker room was a blessing to be apart of and I appreciate all the memories good and bad. I thank the Cowboys Organization The Jones family and all the coaching staff that helped guide me to this point in my career. Coach Gary Brown for helping me make the transition into the rest of my career at a new position and helping me put myself in a position to take care of my family and I. I thank the city of Dallas for accepting me and my time spent in the community and for always being kind. I leave with nothing but love and appreciation for the city of Dallas!... Thank you,
    Beef

    Farewell Keith!
