The team had announced they planned to either trade or release him in late February-and announcement that, needless to say, erased any trade leverage the Cowboys might have had and made the release inevitable. Originally a fifth-round pick out of Boise State in 2008, Scandrick has spent his entire nine-year NFL career in Dallas but his play clearly fell off in 2017. Scandrick graded out as one of the worst starters in the league before a back injury landed him on injured reserve in December.

    Bin auch kein Experte,aber trotz Rookie QB kein Cap, das ist schon übel.

    Ein Tony Romo steht z.B. noch mit 8,9 Millionen für dieses Jahr in den Büchern. Ein Tyrone Crawford ist zum Beispiel überteuert.

    Und die Verträge von Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick und DeMarcus Lawrence (Franchise Tag) sind auch schon gut dotiert.
    Aber das sind halt die Stützen im Team und die sollten auch entsprechend bezahlt werden.

    Dez Bryants Vertrag schlägt natürlich auch ordentlich rein. Dafür muss er dieses Jahr liefern.

    Bei lawrence finde ich es gut, dass es der franchise tag ist. Ist zwar teuer, aber der muss imo auch erstmal seine leistung konstant zeigen, bevor er einen dicken vertrag bekommt.
    Bei Dez bin ich immernoch der Ansicht, dass es einen Paycut geben muss oder wenn er nicht akzeptiert.... :xywave:

    ihr habt doch Jahr für Jahr für Jahr den Caphit von Romo geschoben.. und nun müsst ihr den Abarbeiten.

    würde ich auch so sehen. smith ist wohl eher der "traditionelle" (primär blocking) fullback, olawale dagegen kann schon als ganz nette allzweckwaffe fungieren. für einen mann seiner größe ist er erstaunlich fix, auch als short yardage runner ist er durchaus eine option. für einen kreativen oc, der es versteht ihn einzusetzen, hat man so bei bedarf eine kleine überraschung in der hinterhand. der obige ausschnitt ist dafür ein gutes beispiel. die texans hatten zu diesem zeitpunkt die (statistisch) beste pass defense der liga, musgrave hat den passangriff über die rbs´s (kombiniert 200 rec. yards) aufgezogen, damit hatten die texans dann ihre probleme.

    ich verstehe :mrgreen:

    aber gut, man muss nicht unbedingt ein kreatives mastermind sein, um einen spieler wie olawale gewinnbringend in szene zu setzten. musgrave eilt ja dieser ruf auch nicht voraus. der hat halt grundlegende dinge/die spieler in seinem roster verstanden und zumindest gewusst, wo die stärken und schwächen der gegner sind.

    ich würde mal sagen ganz okay. ist zwar nicht seine spezialität, aber er war diesbezüglich gewiß auch keine schwachstelle. pass pro sah ebenfalls immer ganz ordentlich aus. wie gesagt, vielseitig einsetzbar, auch an der goalline. bei den raiders fans war er sehr beliebt und viele haben sich gewünscht, dass er noch mehr in den gameplan eingebuden wird. letztes jahr ist er dann komplett in der versenkung verschwunden, aber darüber würde ich mir keine großen gedanken machen. downing konnte auch mit den anderen offense spielern nicht wirklich was anfangen.

    Jonathan Cooper wechselt zu den Niners. War abzusehen, nachdem man mit der Überlegung spielt Collins auf LG zu schieben.
