    The club moved a seventh-round selection in the 2019 NFL Draft to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for defensive tackle Devaroe Lawrence, who has taken quite an interesting journey to the NFL.

    Ansonsten muss Dorsey unbedingt MLB im Auge behalten.

    Here we go: #Browns claimed former #Bills LB Tanner Vallejo and former #Ravens DT Carl Davis off of waivers, per @MikeGarafolo. They released backup C Austin Reiter.

    Four of the five players are on the defensive side of the ball. They added former Ravens defensive tackle Carl Davis, former Vikings defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo, former Cardinals defensive back Tavierre Thomas and former Bills linebacker Tanner Vallejo.
    Davis was a 2015 third-round pick and played in 28 games over the last three seasons. Odenigbo was a seventh-round pick last year and some felt he had a good shot at making the team in Minnesota before landing on the waiver wire. Vallejo played 15 games last year after being drafted in the sixth round while Thomas was an undrafted free agent this year.
    The Browns also claimed former Rams center Aaron Neary.

    So viele Änderung in der Defense überraschen mich. Ja viel in Sachen Backups, aber ich hätte weder Brantley noch anscheinend Meder oder Nassib entlassen. Dafür holst du dir Unbekannte rein (unbekannt = kennen die Coaches nicht vom Camp). Alles bisschen merkwürdig...

    Angeblich sowohl Carl, als auch Meder. Whoa.

    Hi Leute, ich mach es ungern, aber ich muss doch gleich im Saisonanfangsthread das "abkotzen" anfangen.
    Das einzig Gute: Das Ziel ist Hue Jackson und der ist hoffentlich entscheidungsmässig eh am Abstellgleis.
    Die aktuelle News betrifft uns nun nicht mehr direkt, aber ich bin so froh, das Jackson nicht das alleinige Zepter in der Hand hat.
    Leider ist er halt noch unser HC, wenn auch deutlich kastriert.

    The Oakland Raiders did add quarterback AJ McCarron in a trade just before rosters had to be cut down to 53.
    The Buffalo Bills sent McCarron to the Raiders on Saturday afternoon, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
    ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Oakland traded a fifth-round pick to Buffalo. The Raiders didn’t get very good play from their backup quarterbacks in preseason, and adding McCarron should help.


    Wir erinnern uns. Offseason, Der Bills QB Taylor zu und uns und der von Hue Jackson geforderte QB AJ McCarron landet bei den Bills.
    Ich weiss nicht mehr welche Summen Jackson für AJ abrufen wollte. Ich bekomme das Gruseln, wenn ich nur daran denke.

    Source: new Browns DL Carl Davis had the most teams submit a waiver claim on him yesterday (4).The Browns, Redskins, Bengals and Chargers all submitted claims, with Cleveland getting the former Raven.

    Wow. #Steelers GM Kevin Colbert just put out a statement on Le’Veon Bell: "We are disappointed Le’Veon Bell has not signed his franchise tender and rejoined his teammates…” Goes against what Bell tweeted in July.

    Info on waiver claims: #Browns DL Carl Davis had the most (CIN, WAS, LAC & CLE). #Browns LB Tanner Vallejo had 3 (ARZ, CLE and MIA), as did #Chargers DT TY McGill (BUF, PHI & NYG) #Giants DE Mario Edwards had 3 (BUF, PHI & NYG). Kevin Hogan only had DEN, Luke Falk only had MIA.

    Gefällt mir auch nicht. Ich denk mal das suspekte Blocking hat Cajuste den Rosterplatz und auch PS gekostet. Ich denke er hat gute Hände. Also ich hätte ihn jedenfalls gerne am PS gesehen.

    DT Caleb Brantley ist ja heute von den Redskins gesigned worden. Könnt Ihr mir bitte eine kurze Einschätzung zu seiner Leistung in der vergangenen Saison bei den Browns geben? Er galt ja vor dem Draft 2017 als schwieriger Typ, gab es in Cleveland irgendwelche Kritikpunkte diesbezüglich? Danke schon mal!

    Die Saison kann losgehen, ich hab bereits etwas vom Opener gesehen heute früh und in der Mittagspause. Die Vorfreude auf das Browns-Game mächtig angekurbelt. Das Spiel an sich fand (was ich bisher gesehen habe) war aber eher etwas wenig Unterhaltung. Die ersten Drives der Falcons 2018 sahen aus wie die Falcons 2017 und die Redzone Production bleibt somit dürftig. Ich werde mir wohl den Rest des Spiels noch anschauen, es macht aber das warten auf Steeler @ Browns nicht angenehmer.

    Ich bin allgemein gespannt ob sich dieses Mal wirklich etwas ändert und sich das Team als Ganzes verbessert zeigt und den Steelers Paroli bieten kann.

    Ich hoffe Tyrod lässt gleich im ersten Spiel den Ball fliegen und zeigt dass seine klassischen 180-220 Yard passing games vor allem wegen fehlenden Skill Players zustande kamen. Das bestätigt dann gleich, dass die Browns wirklich mal über gute Skill Player verfügen.

    Auf die Defense bin ich auch sehr gespannt und da bin ich auch recht zuversichtlich, da wäre es auch schön wenn nicht nur die Line mit Garrett zeigt was sie kann sondern auch das Backfield Schuster und Brown regelmässig in Schach halten können ohne ein Flag-Festival zu veranstalten.

    Gonzalez soll auch gleich mal ein +50 Yard FG erzielen, damit er dieses Jahr gleich mit vollem Selbstvertrauen in die Saison starten kann.

    Football Season ist wohl auch die einzige Zeit wo man sich vom Wochenende den Sonntagabend herbeisehnt.
