    RIP Coach.

  • From Cowboys Ring of Honor to NFL Hall of Famer? Gil Brandt is hopeful to get 'that knock on the door'

    Zitat

As vice president of personnel for the Cowboys, Brandt helped assemble the rosters for teams that went on to win two Super Bowls and 13 division titles and enjoyed 20 consecutive winning seasons. He oversaw the selection or signing of 10 players who are now in the Hall of Fame and 15 who are in the Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Brandt was ahead of the curve in the use of technology and employed it to give the Cowboys an advantage. He put together an extensive network of friends and contacts he utilizes to this day to gather and exchange information.

  • The Hall of Fame owner is so hellbent on seeing the infusion of new concepts into the playbook that he wants Moore to let him know if there's any resistance.
"I've said this to [Moore]: I want those new ideas," Jones said with a smile. "I want them fought for until the glass breaks. Squeal. Holler. If they're not being implemented, call me, but let's get in here and do the kinds of things we do to get the most out of a very talented roster.
"I think Kellen has got the skill and the right attitude and style to make this work."

Das wird eine Make-or-Break-Saison für Garrett.

"No," Cooper said. "I don't want to play with Tom Brady. I want to beat Tom Brady. I want to play with Dak Prescott. And I believe that we can get the job done."

  • After ‘Long Road,’ Frederick Excited For Spring

    Zitat

“I don’t know if it’s going to be 100 percent full go. I don’t if it’s going to be some. We’re just going to kind of feel it out sort of as we’ve felt this whole process,” the Cowboys’ veteran center said Tuesday night at the second annual Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year award ceremony at The Star in Frisco.

“I’m to the point now where I can do almost everything that I’ve been able to do previously,” he said. “Now, am I running at my top speed? I don’t know because I haven’t hit that number. Am I jumping as high as I have? I’m not sure yet. But once we get back in March and April we’ll get a good feeling on where things are.
