Most of the talk Monday at Seahawks practice was about rookie linebacker Niko Koutouvides knocking Robbie Tobeck, Seattle's veteran center and noted practical jokester, to the turf during a running drill.
Koutouvides hit him so hard, in fact, it left a mark.
Go Niko!
Aber das war noch nicht alles.
When the players took the field for their 30-minute walk-through yesterday, there was an outline of a fallen body with No. 61 on it to commemorate the spot where center Robbie Tobeck landed after being launched by a hit from rookie linebacker Niko Koutouvides in practice Monday.
The prank was not only Trent Dilfer's idea, the quarterback served as the model for the outline, laying on the field while fields/project coordinator Brent Hanson spray-painted the outline.
"I get no respect," Tobeck said. "But as I told those guys, 'It will get my name in the paper.' "
Wenn ja, dann her damit.
