    Nachdem fast alle CB´s schon weg sind durchaus ok. Mir macht ebenfalls sein Speed Sorgen. Ansonsten die gewünschte Verstärkung für die Secondary :)

    Die Konkurrenz (Berichterstattung) hatte Wilson ürigens auch im Auge :

    Walterfootball grade dazu, wo ich evtl. Roderick Johnson in der 1st hatte, als regelmäßiger Leser dort:

I had him in the opening round in my mock until team sources told us that he was extremely overrated and belonged in the late rounds. Johnson struggled in pass protection all year, so here we are. Johnson can run block well, but doesn't have much upside as a sub-par athlete.

    Man hat jetzt drei D-Liner verplichtet - ich denke Desmond Bryant und Xavier Cooper müssen sich um ihren Job/ Rosterspot fürchten...

    Insbesonders letzterer wär jetzt nicht so der sportliche Verlust. Und bei Bryant mal sehn, ob er nochmal richtig fit wird.
    Brantley hat ja noch mehr red Flags, als nur diese Nummer in der Bar. Da gamblen sie imo einfach mal.

    na ja wenn es wirklich nur ein schubsen war, nachdem sie ihn mehrmals geschlagen hat, wäre es nicht unmoralisch!
    Andererseits natürlich ein absolutes no go!

    Rein sportlich ein absoluter Gewinn und könnte der größte Steal im Draft werden, wenn da nun wirklich nicht soviel war.

    Zane Gonzalez ist Kicker. Und trotzdem auf dem Papier ein Steal in der 7th.
    An #252 dann mit Dayes einen RB, den man wohl aus dem Senior Bowl kennt.

    Bei den Undrafted Free Agents sind Stribbling und vorallem Nacua auf den ersten Blick am interessantesten. Grade was den Need in der Secondary angeht.

    Bisschen schaden das man Lorenzo Jerome nicht als UFA bekommen hat/wollte (49ers), Nacua als Safety dagegen wirklich spannend.

    Nachdem man auf RB jetzt erst in Runde 7 agiert hat, sollte Crowell besser schnell seinen Tender signen. Macht mich etwas nervös...

    Nacua ist vorallem nicht nur SparQ sondern macht auch massig INTs.

    Alles im allem auf dem Papier ein super Draft plus Hoffnung auf tolle UFDA.
    Einziger Makel ist irgendwie Brantley. Aber vielleicht muss man so ein Gamble ab und an mal versuchen.

    Gute Draft, ich bin sehr zufrieden, wenn es etwas zu kritisieren gibt, dann ist das Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

    Mal wiedeer das Buzzwort "process", es ist für mich der Anfang in eine hoffentlich bessere Zukunft, der sich dann in mittlerer Zukunft auch in Siege ummünzen lässt.

    Ich kann´s kaum erwarten, bis es endlich mit dem Camp losgeht......

    Wenn jetzt und in Zukunft smart und weise gehandelt wird ( Draft, Free Agency und der vorhandene cap space, Coaches etc) , dann werden auch die anderen teams in der AFC North besorgt nach Cle gucken und hoffentlich feststellen,

    Gut , Brantley stösst sauer sauer auf imo , da muss man abwarten.
    Ansonsten ist das eine ufassbar gute value-Draft , das muss man dem FO ohne Wenn und Aber zugestehen.
    Dazu kommt... *trommelwirbel* ....: The Houston Texans First-round selection 2018 !

    Unglaublich, was man (mittlerweile muss man bei diesem FO ja fast ein "bis jetzt " einsetzten :mrgreen: ) an Feuerkraft für 2018 angehäuft hat :

    Earlier in April, Jackson and Williams were part of a small Browns contingent that traveled to College Station, Texas, for a private dinner with Garrett. The next day at Texas A&M, they put him through a workout that, in Williams' eyes, was as much of a psychological test as a physical one. "My goal was to make him uncomfortable, and winded as f---, and to see how he'd react," Williams explained. "We simulated a 15-play drive, and after some plays, I'd make him do up-downs before the next one, just to tire him out even more. We got all the way down near the goal line, and I kicked it up to 10 up-downs, thinking he might collapse or quit or say 'To hell with this.' He just did them and lined up, and on the next play he came off the edge like I've maybe seen two people in my life -- Bruce Smith and Jevon Kearse -- and sacked the quarterback. It was amazing."

    Browns DL Caleb Brantley could be cleared soon

    Auch wenn das noch nicht fix ist, scheint es zunächst tatsächlich eine Zukunft für Brantley bei den Browns zu geben. Ich bleibe weiter skeptisch zu seiner Person, da die Character-Issues nicht nur diesen Fall betreffen. Ich will mir aber auch nicht anmaßen Richter zu spielen. Rein sportlich betrachtet ist es dann ein Steal. Ein 2nd-Round Talent in der 6th Round gezogen. Brantley und Ogunjobi sind beide als 3-Tech-DT sehr spannend für die Interior D-Line neben Shelton extrem spannend.

    Ich will auch nicht zu optimistisch sein, der Typ hat immer noch eine Frau geschubst/geschlagen - absolutes No-Go..auch wenn der Polizeibericht andeutet, dass die Frau ihn zuvor mehrmals geschlagen hat. Die Frage wird sein inwiefern man ihn bei den Browns charakterlich unter Williams und HJ auf die richtige Spur bekommt. Hier muss man eine klare Kante fahren und bei weiteren Vorfällen knallhart sein.

    Schwierige Personalie...aber die D-lIne könnte diese Saison Spaß machen :) und dementsprechend auch die Secondary entlasten...

    Auf ihn bin ich wirklich gespannt. Wenn wir wirklich viel laufen wollen. Und dann hinter der Oline, die für mich auf jeden Fall Top10 ist, wenn sie fit bleibt. Dann könnte er ein super Puzzleteil sein.

    Auf ihn bin ich auch mal gespannt. Absolutes height-weight-speed-Talent, das diese Werte bei den Eagles jedoch zu selten aufs Feld bringen konnte. Mit den körperlichen Voraussetzungen müsste er wesentlich physischer laufen, zudem scheint seine Vision doch sehr ausbaufähig zu sein. Aber die Tools sind definitiv vorhanden, vielleicht braucht er noch ein wenig Zeit (hat sich im College auch erst spät und durchaus ein wenig überraschend durchsetzen können).

    Dazu noch Matt Dayes, der ein unterschätzter Zone-Runner ist, aber vomn cut&go abgesehen nicht so wahnsinnig viel auf eigene Faust kreieren kann - könnte ein spannender Kampf um die Backup-Posten werden, wenngleich ich mir nicht wirklich vorstellen kann, dass die Positionen von Crowell und Johnson in Gefahr sind. Die haben ja nun schon die zweite Offseason in Folge erstaunlich wenig hochkarätige Konkurrenz bekommen. HJ muss hier in der Tat kaum Optimierungsbedarf sehen, im Gegensatz zu den schweren Jungs davor.
