    Meinte auch nicht, dass man dafür einen Draftpick opfern sollte. Es könnte auf die gleiche Situation wie bei Collins hinauslaufen.
    Hier einmal ein interessanter Artikel. Wenn ich es richtig lese, dann kann er solange er unter Verdacht steht und es eine Ermittlung gibt gar nicht gedraftet werden?

    An McKinley glaube ich eher weniger. Ganz einfach weil er durch seine Schulter OP zum Beginn der Saison nicht einsatzfähig sein wird.

    Kleines Bingo-Spiel - diese Dinge werden beim Draft 2017 passieren:

    - Mike Mayock hat einen höheren Draftgrade auf einen Spieler
    - Ein trauriger Spieler ohne Anruf im Green Room wird gezeigt
    - Ein weinender Spieler der einen Anruf erhält wird gezeigt
    - Ein gedrafteter Spieler umarmt Goodell
    - Ein gedrafteter Spieler versucht einen einstudierten Handshake mit Goodell
    - Goodell wird immer noch ausgebuht
    - jemand schreit 'What' während der Verkündung eines Draftpicks.
    - Irgendjemand (wahrscheinlich die Bills) draftet einen Spieler, den kein Mock so hoch auf dem Papier hat.
    - Adam Schefter (ESPN) spoilt einen Pick bevor er geschieht und liegt richtig.
    - Mike Mayock spekuliert "must be a ..." vor einem Pick - und dann wird es jemand ganz anderes.
    - es wird via Webcam in den Draftroom der Cowboys geschaltet.
    - Irgendein dummer Tweet eines Spielers wird gezeigt.
    - Ein RB fällt tiefer als Experten ihn vorher gesagt haben
    - Ein QB wird deutlich höher gepickt als Experten vorher gesagt haben

    Taco geht wohl als First Rounder vollkommen im Ordnung. Jackson war weg und die CB Klasse ist so tief besetzt das man auch in der zweiten Runde einen guten Starter CB bekommt

    Ach ja hier mal eine Grade für den Pick

    Grade: A+
    Taco in Dallas is too good to be true. He could be the transformational pass rusher the Cowboys need on that side of the ball. Huge need filled by arguably the second-best player at that position.

    • Long rangy body. Can get up field then redirect back inside. Upper body strength to extend on the blocker. Can hold his man in place.
    • Times where he plays with violence. Will chase the ball to the outside.
    • Struggled with his awareness on the trap block. Almost like it caught him by surprise.
    • Moves well laterally. Gets caught too far up field on his rush. There are snaps where he misses on the depth of quarterback then has to fight to adjust back. Taken down on the low block.
    • Like to see him play a little better handling those blocks around his legs. Like to see him get rid of the blocker quicker.
    • Will fight the double team. Can hold his own. Spin move on pass rush. Should develop more moves. Has the upper body strength to push blocker back with one arm. Plays with impressive upper body power.
    • Lined up as a nose in the three man line and was able to get push. Like to see him develop a burst to really get around the corner.
    • Will struggle to win one-on-one. Not bad thou when you put him on the move. Can make things happen on the twist. Effort is good but needs to finish.
    • Very steady but doesn’t make those "Wow" plays. Very good comparison by Dane Brugler of CBS Sports/DallasCowboys.com of Justin Tuck formally of the New York Giants. Might be a little bit of a late bloomer.
    • Had very tough coaching at Michigan so should be able to thrive in this environment.


    Laut Jerry hatte man noch einen Spieler mit einem First Round Grade auf dem Board, aber das wäre ein DB gewesen. Da man aber der Meinung ist, man kann auch in den nächsten Runden noch gute DBs finden, hat man den Edge-Rusher vorgezogen - da war man wohl nicht so optimistisch noch was geeignetes vorzufinden. Für mich nachvollziehbar.

    Hauptsache er spielt - das wäre zu Gregory ja schon mal ein Upgrade, allein wenn er auf dem Feld steht. Mit Irving und Taco haben wir jetzt zwei richtige Krakenarme in der Line.

    Sehe ich ganz genauso. Je mehr ich über den Pick nachdenke und ihn sacken lasse umso mehr freue ich mich auf den Jungen. Vor allem soll er Charakterlich wohl sehr gut sein. Dazu hat er die Vorraussetzungen zu einem guten DE.
    Es gibt noch soviele gute CB in den nächsten Runden, daher macht der Pick einfach doppelt Sinn.

    Esume hat es gestern gut auf den Punkt gebracht, der letzte verbliebene Pass Rusher, also muss man Abstriche in Kauf nehmen, Pick 28 halt. Scheint ein wenig langsam zu sein aber dafür ganz gute Size, kann auch gegen den Lauf arbeiten. Er hat schon einen leicht arrgoganten Eindruck erweckt, der Cowboys Klassiker halt, Charakterlich mit Kanten. Aber kein Vergleich zu McKinley bei dem wirklich eine Schraube locker sitzt. Bin sehr gespannt auf Taco, freu mich schon.

    Wen würdet ihr denn jetzt in der zweiten Runde picken? Ich gehe mal davon aus das Chidobe Awuzie, Quincy Wilson und Kevin King nicht mehr zu haben sind, wenn wir dran sind. Oder nehmen wir dann einen Safety (Budda Baker, Obi Melifonwu...)?

    Hier werden wir wohl vor der gleichen Frage stehen wie in Runde 1. Entweder es ist doch ein Safety da der ein Pick in Runde zwei rechtfertig und in der dritten bekommt man noch einen ordentlich CB. Oder die sind halt alle weg und man wählt den BPA auf CB.

    Angeblich versucht man Scandrick zu traden, um nochmal in die 3. Runde zu kommen. Das ist ... interessant. ?(
