    Na toll,

    ausgerechnet im letzten (so unwichtigen wie ein Furz) Pre-Season Spiel hat sich 1. Round Pick Jerome McDougle an der Hüfte und am Knöchel verletzt.
    Erste Röntgen Untersuchungen waren negativ, heute folgt ne Kernspin, um zu schauen, ob evtl. Bänder verletzt sind...

    Hoffentlich ist er gegen die Bucs wieder fit...

    Denn die DE-Position fängt langsam (nach Green on IR) an zu bröckeln... :(

    Bin jetzt mal auf die kommenden Cuts gespannt. Mal sehen, was mit Leuten wie Greg Lewis und Kori Dickerson passiert. Beide haben recht gute Leistungen in den preseason games gezeigt. Gerade Lewis hat gestern stark gespielt.

    Bei McDougle kann man nur drauf hoffen, dass wirklich nichts Grösseres passiert ist. Warten wir mal die kommenden Berichte ab.

    Jetzt ist es amtlich: McDougle wird die ersten 2 Spiele ausfallen aufgrund seiner Verletzung, welche er im Spiel gegen die Jets erlitten hat.

    Heute gegen 4 pm werden die Eagles ihre letzten Cuts bekannt geben. Das Team bereits verlassen hat WR Milons, der für einen noch offenen Draft pick nach Pittsburgh getradet wurde. Ich find´s ein wenig schade, dass er nicht wirklich die starken Leistungen bei den Eagles zeigen konnte, für welche er im College als Top-WR bekannt wurde. Vielleicht schafft er ja bei den Stealers einen kleinen Durchbruch, auch wenn dort natürlich das WR-Corps, insbesondere die ersten 3, mehr als gut besetzt sind.

    Puh...das war ja ne ganze Menge nachzuarbeiten. Ich findes es schade, dass Milons weg ist. Und das mit McDougle...na ja...kann man nichts machen. Ich denke die Eagles sind auf dem De aber immer noch stark genug besetzt. so lang er nicht die ganze Saison ausfällt....

    I just got on the philly sports forum for the first time in a long time, and read through my old post. I thought you all might find it interesting what I posted right after the season ended:

    74.1 Although I like Duce, I think that we are really set and rb with or without him. I would like to see westbrooke and buckhalter fight it out next year.     does anyone here remember andre waters and wes hopkins? If so how do you think lewis and dawkins measure up as far as laying a hit on someone. hopkins and waters used to lay people flat. I know that dawk is the best saftey weve ever had but those to could hit!

    Die Eagles haben heute die letzten 17 Spieler gecuttet und das Roster auf 53 gebracht. Einige Überraschungen gab es dabei schon, sowohl bei den Cuts wie auch bei den Spielern, die im Team bleiben.
    Die grosse Überraschung schlechthin ist sicher, dass die Eagles gleich 6 undraftet rookie FAs behalten haben. Spieler wie WR Greg Lewis, RB Reno Mahe (der 4te RB aufm Roster!), S Quintin Mikell u.a.. Gecuttet wurden zum anderen auch einige ´Namen´ wie C Scott Peters, von dem man sich nach dem Draft 2002 einiges erwartet hatte, der aber immer mit Verletzungen zu kämpfen hatte; S Rashard Cook und S Norman Lejeune, TE Kori Dickerson, von dem man lange dachte, dass Reid ihn behält.

    Neben den 6 undraftet rookie FAs gibt es ganz klar 2 ´grosse´ Nachrichten:
    Dirk Johnson ist nun definitiv der Punter bei den Eagles nach starken Leistungen im Camp und in der preseason, wo er mit Richardson und Lee Johnson 2 veterans ausstach.
    Das man weder Cook noch Lejeune behalten hat erzeugt weiter Fragezeichen auf der Safety-Position, wo man jetzt einfach hoffen muss, dass Dawk und Lewis sich nicht verletzen.

    Jetzt sagt doch noch einer, dass FB Jon Ritchie kein Upgrade gegenüber Cecil Martin gewesen sei!

    Denn letzterer wurde überraschender Weise von den Raiders gecuttet. Schon verwunderlich, nachdem dieser als Ersatz für Ritchie geholt wurde...

    Für mich sind Cuts sowohl überraschend als auch teilweise unverständlich. Gahe ist vielleicht kein schlechter RB. Aber er ist und bleibt der vierte im Kader. Wozu braucht man vier RBs. War der personelle Überschuss auf dieser Position (Staley, Buckhalter, Westbrook) denn noch nicht zu groß. Und dass man mit Cook und LeJeune gleich zwei Safeties cuttet ist mir auch ziemlich schleierhaft.

    Na ja, die im FO werdens besser wissen.

    Ich gehe fest davon aus, dass Cook im Laufe der Season wieder ins Team kommen wird, sobald er seinen Trainingsrückstand aufgeholt hat.

    Midway through the 3rd quarter Keyshawn Johnson goes over the middle and jumps for a high ball. Dawkins comes and lays the smack down on one side and as Johnson spins through the air Lewis hits him from the other side. Knocking out the ball and knocking off Johnsons helmet. To which John Madden says jokingly "I hope his head isn't in there". The ref walks over to pick up the helmet for Johnson, and starts to throw up on the field. Not just because his head is still in there, but it's still talking!! It keeps repeating "I'm the greatest". The ref asks Andy Ried what does he think, and Andy gives the helmet to Detmer, who holds it while Akers kicks it out of the stadium!!

    Du weißt aber schon, dass der Opener gegen die BUCS (kleiner Tip: #1 Defense) ist? :nono:

    440 total yards gegen die Bucs sind schon ein bisschen lächerlich, oder? :rolleyes:

    Nene, McNabb wird sich einreihen in die Zahl der vielen QBs, die auch dieses Jahr wieder kein QB rating > 60 erreichen gegen die Beste Defense der Liga.
