    Man sollte immer noch bedenken, dass ein Eifert oder sonst eine FA Option Wahrscheinlich teurer gewesen wäre. Mit Witten weiß man was man bekommt. Und wie schon mal hier geschrieben wurde, wenn man ihn in den entsprechenden Situationen einsetzt dann ist das definitiv ein Boost.
    Ich würde trotzdem einen TE draften, aber nur wenn eines der Top Prospects bis zu uns durch rutscht.

    Immerhin hat man so die Möglichkeit seine Prioritäten im Draft auf andere Positionen (DE, DT, WR) zu verlagern.

    Jetzt noch Earl Thomas einsacken und dann entsprechend die Needs im Draft angehen.

    Ich finds gut das Witten wieder zurück ist.
    Auf dem Feld wird er bestimmt ein paar Lücken finden und als quasi TE Coach ist er unbezahlbar.

    Dem kann ich mich nur anschließen. Fand eigentlich, dass bei unseren TEs zum Saisonende hin eine Entwicklung in die richtige Richtung stattgefunden hat. Ich befürchte diese könnte durch Wittens Rückkehr einen dämpfer bekommen. Zusätzlich bezweifel ich, dass sein Impact (zumindest auf dem Feld) an „alte“ Zeiten rankommen wird.

    Ist schwer zu sagen.
    Ich denke vieles hängt vom Fitnesszustand ab. Der Need auf TE war natürlich vorhanden. Und anscheinend glaubt man nicht, in der zweiten Runde ein entsprechendes Prospect zu bekommen. Man hat hier ja auch nicht viel und langfristig Kohle verbrannt. Man weiß was man bekommt und wenn man ihn in Kombination mit den jungen TE die man im Kader hat sinnvoll einsetzt dann ist das Risiko sehr gering.

    Wenn man Earl Thomas haben möchte, wird es nicht an dem Gehalt von Jason Witten scheitern.

    An Witten wird das nicht scheitern, keine Sorge. Die 3,5 Mio kann man anderweitig wieder reinholen (Lee, Hurns). Wenn dann eher daran, dass San Fran mehr bieten wird, als die Cowboys bereit sind auszugeben.

    Irving nun auch gesperrt. Im Gegensatz zu Gregory wird man hier definitiv einen Schlussstrich ziehen.

    Definitiv nicht. Das ist einfach zu viel Kohle für ihn. Dann eher im Draft nach einem Slot Receiver gucken.
    Isabella wird wohl nicht mehr da sein an 58 und ich glaube kaum, dass wir unseren Secound Round Pick dafür ausgeben.
    Mein Wunsch Penny Hart. Denke, dass man ihn in Runde drei bekommen könnte.

    Könnte allerdings teuer werden. Spielt er nicht zum 2. Mal unter dem Tag? Nächstes Jahr gibt's dann 144 %, wenn er gleich performed wobei mMn der QB-Tag die Untergrenze ist, korrekt?

    siehe oben. 20+ Mio dieses Jahr falls man sich nicht auf einen längeren Vertrag einigt. Wobei ich fest davon ausgehe, dass man genau das im Laufe der Offseason wird. Die Frage ist nur wann.

    Cowboys re-signed safety Darian Thompson to a one-year deal.

    Ich glaube man kann sich wohl von einem Top Safety (Thomas, Collins, Weedle, Mathieu) als FA verabschieden...

    Diese Empörung, dass sie auf Marihuana testen...die UFC-Kämpfer, die er da anbringt, müssen das übrigens auch über sich ergehen lassen und für den ersten Vorfall gibt es schon sechs Monate Sperre und nicht nur vier Spiele.
    Lustig finde ich allerdings, wie er sich da mit Kaepernick gleichsetzt. Er ist das große Opfer und geht lieber freiwillig, bevor sie ihn "Kaepernicken". Der olle Weed-Märtyrer. :D

    Report: Allen Hurns back to working out, will remain with Cowboys this year

    Hat letzte Saison wenig Spielanteile bzw. Bälle bekommen. Bin gespannt ob er oder Cooper dann mehr im Slot eingesetzt werden.
    Tippe drauf, dass man Cole Beasley ziehen lässt und ggf. noch einen WR draften wird.

    WR Tavon Austin ist zwar auch FA, doch könnte er nochmal für ein Jahr einen Vertrag bekommen. T. Austin könnte auch im Slot eingesetzt werden.

    WR Devin Smith ist auch noch im Kader und wird seine Chance bekommen.

    Momentan gibt es in der NFL viele Trade Gerüchte um A. Brown und OBJ. ob das gerade für Cole Beasley von Vorteil ist ... vielleicht findet er neues Team was ihn mehr Kohle gibt als die Cowboys.

    Auch wenn es noch etwas dauert bin ich schon gespannt welche Position/ Spieler die Cowboys in Runde 2 draften werden.

    Cowboys verlängern den Vertrag von DT Daniel Ross und ziehen die Option für Joe Looney, Joe Thomas und Allen Hurns.
